The Challenge
Ladbrokes knew they needed a sportsbook app for tablet in time for the Christmas rush – but they needed help defining the scope, functionality and feasibility of their app in time for the hard deadline.
A key business goal was to optimise the existing mobile experience for tablet while maintaining the successful mobile user experience and look and feel.
The Solution
We integrated seamlessly into the Ladbrokes Innovation Lab team, liaising extensively with Playtech’s development team – based in Malmo, Sweden.
With this in mind, we delivered the first web-optimised tablet app in the industry – one that works across iPad, Android and Microsoft devices.
We challenged Mobenga to deliver an identical feature set across all experiences – including the apps most popular features: My Accas, in-play betting and live event streaming. With the live streaming experience being particularly suited to the tablet device, we knew it would be a winner.
The Results
The business was very happy with the outcomes and tablet is on target to deliver on KPIs for the coming financial year.
