Challenge: Xbox wanted to spread the message that gaming is for everyone and make women feel more included in the gaming world. The aim was also to show how the fashion and gaming worlds mutually influence each other when it comes to fashion.
Solution: We created the "Xbox Game Squad" - an exclusive collaboration between ELLE, Xbox, Bethesda and the Beckman School of Design, creating something never before shown at the ELLE Gala.
Through the collaboration with Beckmans School of Design, we had two design students interpret the two new gaming innovations from Xbox (Redfall and Starfield) and create unique creations that were then worn at the Elle gala. Of course, we also featured the creations in a fashion spread in print and on social media. Thanks to this setup, we reached a new creative height for an ad campaign. Being able to also promote two female aspiring fashion designers in ELLE feels like a fantastic bonus.
