Dalton Daily Citizen

Media · News · United States

Established in 1847 as The North Georgia Citizen, today the Dalton Daily Citizen is a locally-operated part of Montgomery, Alabama-based CNHI LLC. The Dalton Daily Citizen is committed to delivering outstanding publications, products and services supported by second-to-none customer service.

The Dalton Daily Citizen, a four-day-a-week morning newspaper, is based in Dalton, Georgia, which is just an hour north of Atlanta and 25 minutes south of Chattanooga on Interstate 75. The Dalton area is home to the largest carpet industries in the world, which gives it the title as the "Carpet Capital of the World."

We also publish The Weekly Citizen, a weekly product; Dalton Living, a bi-monthly magazine that was started in mid-2005 distributed in Dalton and Whitfield County; and Calhoun Magazine, a quarterly magazine distributed in Calhoun and Gordon County. The newspaper group also publishes a number of special sections and niche publications that are distributed with the above-mentioned products or in a stand-alone format. Additionally, the newspaper also operates the website you are visiting — www.daltondailycitizen.com — and performs commercial printing work.
