The Republican Herald

Media · News · United States

The Republican Herald publishes seven days a week, 365 days a year from Pottsville, PA., covering Schuylkill County and portions of Berks and Dauphin counties.

It traces its roots to the first printing of The Daily Republican in Pottsville on Oct. 28, 1884. Its current name is a reflection of the purchase of The Evening Herald in Shenandoah in July 1995.

The newspaper remained in founder Joseph Henry Zerbey's family until 2003, when it was sold to another Pennsylvania newspaper family and became part of Times-Shamrock Communications.
