Plainview Herald

Media · United States

The Plainview Herald was acquired by Hearst in 1979. The Texas newspaper is published in the nation’s largest cotton-growing region and on the edge of the nation’s heaviest concentration of cattle-feeding and beef-packing operations. Hale County is home to an ethanol plant, and the area has realized recent growth in milk and wind energy production. The Herald is a multiple winner of both the Sweepstakes Award of the West Texas Press Association and the Panhandle Press Association’s General Excellence Award and has been recognized by the Texas Press Association. Its website, myplainview.com, also has won numerous awards.
