We supported Ren Hub AS in building a tailored cleaning services website for the Norwegian market, combining localisation, SEO, and a self-service quoting tool. The project required a deep understanding of local expectations to create a site that felt native rather than translated.
Challenge
Ren Hub were entering a competitive digital space in Norway without a website that spoke to local users. Direct translations did not capture the right tone, and cultural differences meant that both the design and the content had to be adapted rather than simply transferred from English.
SEO posed its own hurdle. Norway’s smaller market meant fewer opportunities for high-quality backlinks, requiring a more targeted content strategy and outreach to locally relevant platforms.
Design expectations also differed from other markets. Norwegian users favour clean, restrained layouts, functional navigation, and subtle use of colour, so the visual approach needed to align with those norms.
Alongside this, users expected clear pricing and straightforward tools, which meant integrating a self-service quote calculator that worked smoothly in both languages.
Solution
We planned the project with localisation at the forefront. Wireframes were created to match Norwegian design preferences, and all copy was adapted with the help of native speakers to ensure cultural accuracy and a natural tone of voice.
The website was built on our DBETA Bones Framework 7.0, ensuring fast performance and a structure suited to long-term SEO. We developed Norwegian-language blogs, optimised key landing pages, and secured locally relevant backlinks to strengthen search visibility.
A custom quote calculator was added to give users immediate price estimates—supporting transparency and reducing barriers to enquiry. Throughout the build, we maintained close communication with the client to ensure that language, structure, and layout met local expectations.
Impact
The final website feels fully aligned with Norwegian digital standards, offering users a familiar design style and clear, easy-to-use navigation. The quoting tool significantly improved customer engagement by giving instant pricing, which increased enquiry quality and reduced unnecessary communication.
The SEO groundwork quickly began to show results, with the site earning strong local visibility across a growing number of keywords and referring domains.
