Appeal-Democrat

The Appeal-Democrat is the No. 1 local news source for Sutter and Yuba counties, serving readers since 1860.

The Appeal-Democrat has grown with the California Mid-Valley community – from the unpaved paths that led to the gold fields to the cyberspace of appealdemocrat.com. The newspaper is a direct descendant of a line of newspapers that dates back to the Marysville Herald, which debuted August 6, 1850, two years after gold was discovered nearby at Sutter’s Mill.

The Appeal-Democrat’s professional portfolio of services include media buying, graphic design and print, interactive products and services, business consultation and marketing strategies. These services, combined with the reach of Yuba-Sutter’s premier newspaper and website have been helping business achieve success for over 170 years.
